TEACHERS & STAFF

The backbone of YIAL, and one of its main strengths is its Arabic instructors. As a student, especially in a private course, your success is largely dependent upon the competence and dedication of your instructor.  We do our best to hand-select the very best and experienced Arabic teachers from Yemen, creating the extremely competent and enthusiastic staff  in YIAL. All of our instructors have at least a B.A. in Arabic or a closely related field, experience as Arabic or language teacher, and a sincere dedication to teaching Arabic as a foreign language.

Jameel Al-Bazili

• YIAL Director, 2009-present. Previous Director of Arabic Language School, 2002-2009.

• MA Business Management, OUM, Malaysia, BA English, University of Sana’a.

• Years Arabic teacher: 23

• Focus: MSA, Media Arabic, Conversational Arabic, Curricula development, program evaluation.

• Co-author of YIAL’s textbooks including: Assalam alikum series (9 books), and The Conversation Series 1-6.

• A member of YIAL training team specializing in training teachers on modern methods of teaching Arabic as a foreign language, developing teaching materials, and program evaluations.

• Co-author of “Growing UP With English” (Series of 6 Textbooks in Yemeni Private Schools for English Language, Yemen, 2005.



Abduljaleel Al-Bazeli

• Founder & Manager of YIAL 2007-present.

• MA Teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, UM Malaysia.

• Diploma in Business Administration, Modern British Institute.

• Years Arabic teacher: 19

• Focus: Classical Arabic, Poetry, Grammar, Online-Teaching.

• Co-author of YIAL’s textbooks including Assalam alikum series (9 books), Media Arabic 1-3, and The Conversation Series 1-6.

Ossama Ali

• BA French, summa cum laude, University of Sana’a.

• Focus: Media Arabic, Growing Participant Approach (GPA), Introductory Levels, Online-Teaching.

• Co-author of the institute’s Assalam alikum series (9 books), and  Media Arabic textbooks – books 2 and 3.

Mukhtar Al-Hamadi

• BA Arabic, magna cum laude, University of Sana’a.

• Years Arabic teacher: 19

• Focus: Grammar, Calligraphy, Philosophy, Islamic Law, Political Science, Poetry, and Advanced Arabic Courses.

• Author of a Grammar textbook for advanced Arabic students; Co-author of the institute’s “Listening and Speaking” textbooks – 6 levels, and co-author of Assalam alikum series (9 books).

• Vice director of quality management at Ministry of Education 2012-2013.

• Director of Curricula sector at Ministry of Education 2014.



Abdussamad Yusuf
